The new ID. software 2.4 also provides an optimised thermal management, which can reduce secondary energy consumption in cold outside temperatures and increase the range of your ID. as a result.
Why are software updates so important?
Software updates are important to keep your ID. up-to-date with the latest digital developments from Volkswagen. As a result, you benefit from optimisations, improvements to functions and applications, as well as new applications.
Because our software updates build off of one another, we ask you to please install the ID. software 2.3 Over-the-Air update before your workshop visit.
A reset of software versions is not possible.

We Connect
All ID. models are able to receive Over-the-Air updates. An active We Connect Start contract is required.
Your Volkswagen Partner will explain everything about the process of installing the update during your workshop visit.
If you have already contacted your Volkswagen Partner then you do not need to take any further action. If you haven’t already arranged the update appointment, find your next steps here:
1. Arrange an appointment with your Volkswagen Partner. Feel free to use our dealer search – it is specially designed to help you find contacts for your service appointment.
Simply select the Volkswagen Partner you trust and contact them. This way you can also directly discuss your wishes, such as a replacement vehicle.
2. Come to the workshop with your ID. at the agreed time. If you have decided on a replacement car, it will be handed over to you at this time.
3. As soon as your vehicle is ready for pickup, your Volkswagen Partner will inform you, as agreed. Your ID. will be handed over to you updated. If a replacement vehicle was received for use during the update, it can be returned at this time.
