The integrated Wi-Fi hotspot* provides you and all your passengers with a stable Internet connection and allows surfing on up to eight devices. The practical purchase of data packages via the infotainment system lets you control your data usage.3

When you buy a new vehicle, you have the opportunity to use digital services from VW Connect / VW Connect Plus or We Connect / We Connect Plus for the free initial contract period. To use the VW Connect / VW Connect Plus or We Connect / We Connect Plus services, you must have a Volkswagen ID user account and need to log in with your username and password. Once the Volkswagen ID user account has been successfully set up and linked to your vehicle, you can use the vehicle-, country-, software- and equipment-specific digital services for an initial contract period free of charge. For this purpose, a separate VW Connect / VW Connect Plus or We Connect / We Connect Plus contract must be concluded with Volkswagen AG online at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the “Volkswagen” app (available in the App Store and Google Play Store). The actual length of the free contract period depends on when you activate the digital services. From the ninetieth day after initial delivery at the latest, the free initial contract period will begin to reduce automatically. Availability also depends on vehicle model, equipment and software version installed. This also applies to third-party services. The services are available for the agreed contract period and may be subject to substantive changes or ceased during the contract period. With the Touareg from model year 2024, there is also a connection to the knowledge database Wikipedia for the languages German, English (UK), Spanish, French and Italian. For these languages, the “ChatGPT” artificial intelligence is also integrated (connection to Chat GPT Version 40 mini). Note: ChatGPT answers may vary, contain incomplete, inaccurate or irrelevant information, and infringe upon third-party rights.
