Thanks to Android Auto™ by Google™, you can safely operate applicable apps from your smartphone with an Android operating system while driving.1 The wireless connection option for the “Discover Media” and “Discover Pro” navigation systems and “Ready 2 Discover” makes the use of Android Auto™ particularly convenient for We Connect-ready vehicles. You can control everything via voice commands using Google Voice™ and you can, for instance, play songs through YouTube Music™, Pandora or Spotify. Many other apps are already supported. You can obtain further information directly from Google™.

The specified fuel consumption and emission data have been determined according to the measurement procedures prescribed by law. Since 1 September 2017, certain new vehicles have been type-approved according to the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP), a new, more realistic testing process for measuring fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. Starting on 1 September 2018, the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) will be replaced by the WLTP in stages. Owing to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions measured according to the WLTP will, in many cases, be higher than those measured according to the NEDC. This may lead to corresponding changes in vehicle taxation from 1 September 2018. We are currently still required by law to state the NEDC figures. In the case of new vehicles which have been type-approved according to the WLTP, the NEDC figures are derived from the WLTP data. The additional provision of WLTP values is voluntary until their application becomes mandatory. In cases where the NEDC figures are specified as value ranges, these do not refer to a particular individual vehicle and do not constitute part of the sales offering. They are provided purely for comparison purposes between the various types of vehicle. Additional equipment and accessories (attachments, tyre format, etc.) could change relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics. As well as weather and traffic conditions and personal driving style, these add-ons could also affect a vehicle’s fuel consumption, power consumption, CO₂ emissions and performance.

To acquire We Upgrade products, you need a Volkswagen ID user account, a valid We Connect contract and your primary user credentials, i.e. the link between your user account and the specific vehicle. Your vehicle also needs to have the technical prerequisites required for the relevant product. The We Upgrade products available for the specific vehicle can be viewed by the primary user in the infotainment system In-Car Shop or the We Connect web shop at shop.volkswagen-we.com. Paid-for products can be purchased in the In-Car Shop and the We Connect web shop with the payment methods that are currently available and can be viewed there. Purchased and activated We Upgrade functions remain with the vehicle, can be used by all drivers and cannot be transferred to other vehicles.
