In addition to the colour scheme, the choice of wheels in particular has a key role to play. Each combination the gives the ID. Buzz a very individual character: whether it's sporty, elegant or robust – the wheel rims of the ID. Buzz are real eye-catchers that guarantee an attractive appearance. Choose your favourite from five alloy wheel designs in dimensions ranging from 19 to 21 inches and an 18-inch steel wheel with full trim.

Seeing and being seen: only LED headlights and tail light clusters are installed in the new ID. Buzz. For example, it greets you with a friendly flash of its optional IQ. Light LED matrix headlights when you come near it with the vehicle key. Another highlight is that the optional IQ. Light LED matrix headlights operate predictively. In combination with Dynamic Light Assist, they dynamically change between full and dipped been as you drive at night, and they turn into corners before you steer into them. And if you want to leave the vehicle or find it in the dark, the convenient Coming & Leaving Home function shows the way for you using the headlights and surround lighting with a logo projector.

The new ID. Buzz opens doors for you – and the rear lid automatically. You can unlock it simply by having the car key in your pocket, and then open it with a foot gesture. This is especially useful if you are standing by the vehicle with both hands full of shopping or luggage that you want to put away. The prerequisite for this is the Easy Open and Close function in combination with the electrically operated rear lid and electric sliding doors. The Keyless Advanced locking and starting system unlocks all the doors, including the sliding doors, as soon as you approach the ID. Buzz with the key.

Hook up: the new ID. Buzz is also optionally available with a folding towing bracket. It is conveniently unlocked with a switch in the luggage compartment and an electric motor extends it. Next, you simply have to push the ball hitch slightly upwards with your foot or hand to latch it. Folding away is also semi-automatic. Press the switch again, the hitch is then unlocked and folded down electrically. Then all you have to do is swing it under the rear with your hand or foot.

Keeping things tidy is easy with the optional, removable ID. Buzz Box, the flexible feature for stowing everyday items quickly and efficiently between the driver and front passenger seats. Items such as drinks bottles and sunglasses can be stored tidily in the functional, futuristically designed storage box – and you can take them with you during breaks. Practical for on the road, in addition to drawers with plenty of storage space, the mobile Box also has a bottle opener and an ice scraper integrated in the top shelf. The ID. Buzz Box can also be removed for optimal access to the rear and to create a useful space between the front seats. That’s how to make smart use of space.

It’s always tidy in the new ID. Buzz. Drinks, lunch box and car park ticket. Sunglasses, smartphone and tablet. Thanks to the clever storage concept in the cockpit, there’s somewhere put almost anything away. The practical folding tables on the back of the first row of seats offer additional storage options.

No matter what mood you're in: the ambient lighting of the ID. Buzz provides a relaxed, feel-good atmosphere with indirect illumination in ten or, optionally, 30 colours. With the carefully selected light moods, within seconds you can bathe the whole vehicle interior in a warm yellow glow, a dynamic red – or combine two hues for a colourful light show. The colours can be easily adjusted using the infotainment display, as can the brightness, which can be set separately for four zones.

You'll feel right at home in your new ID. Buzz. That’s because our interior designers have selected nothing but high-quality materials and skilfully matched them to one another. Vibrant and dynamic colour schemes and optional seat covers made partly from recycled material in an animal leather-free vehicle interior – that’s how the ID. Buzz combines comfort with sustainability.

Free-standing and arranged in the style of a tablet, the elegant surface of the 25.4 cm (10-inch) or optionally 30.5 cm (12-inch) colour touch display not only allows you to control numerous vehicle functions such as the standard Air Care Climatronic, but also one of the latest generation of infotainment systems with the Ready 2 Discover. Digital radio (DAB+), voice control and, optionally, a navigation system – almost anything is possible. Regular over-the-air updates via We Connect keep the systems’ software up to date. And thanks to App-Connect, various smartphone apps and content such as music, audio books or news can be available on board via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. At the same time, five standard or nine optional loudspeakers ensure an optimum sound experience when you stream your favourite songs via internet radio thanks to the data volume that is included.

The new ID. Buzz has somewhere to put away just about everything – including your mobile phone. An easily accessible compartment between the steering wheel and infotainment display provides ample space. All common smartphones can be stored here, charged inductively or connected to the infotainment system with a USB-C cable. The three standard USB-C interfaces also allow additional devices to be supplied with power.

Visual support: The interactive ID. Light is designed to intuitively help you get through traffic in a more relaxed way with intelligent light signals. This narrow band of light under the windscreen translates instructions from the infotainment and assist systems into light pulses of different colours. The ID. Light indicates, for example, which way the navigation system wants you to turn next, whether the ID. Buzz is ready to go, or if its battery is being charged. If you use voice control, you get feedback via a light signal in response to your voice. And when you leave your ID. Buzz, the ID. Light bids you farewell with a light signal.

For keeping your hands on the wheel while driving, the standard leatherette multifunction steering wheel boasts a high level of operating comfort and a pleasant feel. The buttons can be used to control systems such as the DAB+ radio and the optional navigation system, as well as your smartphone or the cruise control system. You can also use the multifunction steering wheel to customise the Digital Cockpit. And the optional steering wheel heating keeps your hands nice and warm even in winter.

At your command: you can use the convenient voice control system to operate the radio, the optional navigation system, the air conditioning system and other vehicle functions. Address the voice assistant with “Hello ID.” and simply say what you want out loud – the ID. Buzz will do the rest, and you can keep your eyes on what's important: the road. You’ll be surprised how well the new ID. Buzz understands you. It even understands free formulations and colloquial expressions, and you no longer need to use fixed voice commands.
