Volkswagen's connectivity services bring digitalisation into your Volkswagen and offer you more comfort, safety and entertainment. Connect your vehicle to the Internet to get real-time traffic information, reminders for your next service interval, streaming and Internet radio or rapid assistance in the event of a breakdown. 

Please note that availability and prerequisites for individual functions depend on the service selected.

Your smartphone as a remote control, with Car-Net ‘Security & Service’, you can lock and unlock doors and the luggage compartment with ease using the We Connect app.5

The specified consumption and emissions values were obtained using the legally required measurement procedure. On 1 January 2022, the WLTP test cycle fully replaced the NEDC test cycle. Accordingly, no NEDC values are available for new type-approved vehicles after this date. Figures are not based on a single individual vehicle and are not part of the offer, but serve solely to facilitate comparisons between different types of vehicles. Additional equipment and accessories (attachments, tyre format, etc.) could change relevant vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics. As well as weather and traffic conditions and personal driving style, these add-ons could also affect a vehicle’s fuel consumption, power consumption, CO2 emissions and performance. Due to the more realistic testing conditions, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions values measured according to the WLTP are often higher than those measured under the NEDC. This may result in corresponding changes in vehicle taxation as of 1 September 2018. To use the We Connect services, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and to log in to We Connect with your username and password. In addition, a separate We Connect or We Connect Plus contract must be concluded with Volkswagen AG online at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the app Volkswagen We Connect” (available in the App Store and Google Play Store). For We Connect Plus, following vehicle handover, you have 90 days in which to register the vehicle at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the Volkswagen We Connect” app and use the services for the full duration of the agreed free period. The use of We Connect mobile online services is enabled by means of an integrated internet connection. Volkswagen AG will be liable for the associated data costs incurred within Europe, with the exception of “Streaming & Internet” services and individual in-car apps. For the use of the “Streaming & Internet” services, individual in-car apps and the Wi-Fi hotspot, data packages can be purchased from Cubic Telecom, our mobile communications partner, and used in the network coverage area within many European countries. The data in these package can be used by all users and vehicle occupants. You can find information on conditions, prices and supported countries at vw.cubictelecom.com. Alternatively, you can use the Internet Radio and Media Streaming with a mobile device (e.g. smartphone), provided it has the ability to function as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. In this case, the corresponding services are only available subject to an existing or separate mobile phone contract between you and your mobile network operator and only within the coverage area of the respective mobile network. Additional fees (for example, roaming charges) may arise when exchanging data on the Internet, depending on your particular mobile phone rate and especially when using the service abroad.

A smartphone with a suitable iOS or Android operating system and SIM card with data option with a existing mobile data contract or one to be agreed separately between you and your mobile data provider is required to use the free app Volkswagen We Connect”.  

The services included in the We Connect and We Connect Plus bundles may vary by country. Availability also depends on vehicle model, equipment and software version installed. This also applies to third-party services. The services are available for the agreed contract period and may be subject to substantive changes or ceased during the contract period. You can find more details at connect.volkswagen-we.com and your Volkswagen dealership. For information on mobile data charges, please consult your mobile phone provider.

To use the We Connect and We Connect Plus services for the ID. family, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and need to log into We Connect/We Connect Plus with your username and password. A separate We Connect/We Connect Plus contract must also be concluded online with Volkswagen AG. The contract for We Connect for the ID. family is not limited to a contract period of three years. We Connect Plus is initially limited to a contract period of three years and can be renewed for a fee once this has expired. Following vehicle handover, you have 90 days in which to register the vehicle on myvolkswagen.net or via the We Connect ID. app (available in the App Store and Google Play Store) and use the We Connect Plus services for the full duration of the agreed free period. If you register at a later date, the duration of the free period will be reduced accordingly. Some We Connect/We Connect Plus mobile online services can only be operated using the We Connect ID. app. A smartphone with a suitable iOS or Android operating system and SIM card with data option with an existing mobile data contract or one to be agreed separately between you and your mobile data provider is required to use the free app. Additional fees (for example, roaming charges) may arise when exchanging data on the Internet, depending on your particular mobile phone rate and especially when using the service abroad.The mobile online services are available for the agreed contract period and may be subject to substantive changes during the contract period. The services included in the We Connect and We Connect Plus packages may vary by country. Availability also depends on vehicle model, equipment and software version installed. This also applies to third-party services. You can find more details at www.connect.volkswagen-we.com and your Volkswagen dealership. Please also take note of the current Terms and Conditions for the digital services of the ID. family.

To use the Car-Net services, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and need to log in with your username and password. A separate contract must also be agreed online with Volkswagen AG. To use the services for the full period, you have 90 days after vehicle handover in which to register the vehicle at www.myvolkswagen.net or using the Volkswagen We Connect” app (available in the App Store and Google Play Store). If you register at a later date, the duration of the free period will be reduced accordingly. The ‘Guide & Inform’ mobile online services of Car-Net can only be used with the optional equipment Discover Media and Discover Pro. You also need a mobile, Internet-ready end device (e.g. a smartphone) that is capable of acting as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. Alternatively, a mobile phone with remote SIM Access Profile (rSAP) or a SIM card with a phone and data option can be used with the ‘Business’ mobile phone interface option in combination with the Discover Pro navigation system. The Car-Net services are only available with an existing mobile data contract or one to be agreed separately between you and your mobile data provider and only within the coverage of the mobile data network concerned. Additional fees (for example, roaming charges) may arise when exchanging data over the Internet, depending on your particular mobile phone rate and especially when using the service abroad. Given the volume of data which arises when using Car-Net services, agreeing a data flat rate with your mobile data provider is strongly recommended. A smartphone with a suitable iOS or Android operating system and SIM card with data option with an existing mobile data contract or one to be agreed separately between you and your mobile data provider is required to use the free We Connect app. The availability of the Car-Net services may vary by country. These services are available for the agreed contract period and may be subject to substantive changes during the contract period. Only available in conjunction with the “Composition”, “Composition Colour”, “Composition Media” and “Ready 2 Discover” radios or the “Discover Media” and “Discover Pro” navigation systems. App-Connect includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink technologies. To avoid distraction, only certified apps can be started during the journey. Please also note that some apps are not offered for all three technologies, that the provider may change the content of functions or cease to offer the functions during the contract period, and that the availability of these technologies may differ in certain countries. Information on the compatibility of smartphones can be found for Apple CarPlay at https://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/, for Android Auto at https://www.android.com/intl/en/auto/ and for MirrorLink at https://mirrorlink.com/.
