Exciting design for modern commercial mobility

Short overhangs, a generous wheelbase and optional two-tone paintwork: with its unique lines, the new ID. Buzz Cargo is inspired by the look of the original VW Transporter. The result is not only a practical van, but also a remarkable innovation with its expressive design and outstanding functionality. Although it’s a practical commercial vehicle, the ID. Buzz Cargo is emotionally appealing too, for example with its characteristic smile and headlights with a human touch. The body is impressively compact, with maximum use of space and a handy turning circle of just 11.09 meters. You can of course customise the appearance of the ID. Buzz Cargo to your own preferences. The options include a choice of paint colours, new wheel designs and innovative lighting technology.

Colour to play with

Choose your favourite colour. The new ID. Buzz Cargo is available for no extra charge in single-colour Candy White and optionally in seven other colour variants: the five metallic tones of Lime Yellow, Energetic Orange, Bay Leaf Green, Mono Silver and Starlight Blue, Deep Black pearl effect, as well as a two-tone option. With the latter, the upper area including the roof and the V‑shaped bonnet is Candy White – and the areas below the character line running all round the body are Starlight Blue.

Only LED headlights and tail light clusters are installed in the new ID. Buzz Cargo. This will provide you with regular highlights as you go about your day-to-day work. For example, the ID. Buzz Cargo greets you with a friendly flash of its optional IQ. Light LED matrix headlights as you approach with the vehicle key. Another highlight is that the optional IQ. Light LED matrix headlights operate predictively. In combination with Dynamic Light Assist, they dynamically change between full and dipped beam as you drive at night, and they turn into corners before you steer into them.And if you want to leave the vehicle or find it in the dark, the convenient Coming & Leaving Home function shows the way for you using the headlights and a light projection.

Doors

Convenient loading and unloading

The new ID. Buzz Cargo opens doors for you – and the rear lid automatically if you want. You can unlock it simply by having the vehicle key in your pocket, and then open it with a foot gesture. This is particularly useful if you’ve got your hands full and want to put tools or materials in the load compartment. The prerequisite for this is the Easy Open and Close function in combination with the electrically operated rear lid. Alternatively, the optional easy-opening, side-swinging rear wing doors provide access to the load compartment for more convenient loading of bulky items. The optional second sliding door on the driver side also makes loading and unloading more convenient and flexible. In addition, Keyless Advanced locking and starting system unlocks all the doors as soon as you approach the ID. Buzz Cargo with the key – including the optional electric sliding doors.

Folding towing bracket

Extends at the touch of a button

With the optional towing bracket, the new ID. Buzz Cargo can tow loads of up to 1,000 kg. The ball hitch is conveniently unlocked using a switch in the load compartment and is extended by an electric motor. Next, you simply have to push the bracket up slightly with your foot or hand and let it engage. It also retracts semi-automatically. Press the switch again and the ball hitch is then unlocked and folded down by the electric motor. Then all you have to do is swing it under the rear with your hand or foot.

That’s because it sets new standards with its innovative load compartment concept and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The result is a digital, powerful and functional electric van with a large cargo volume. Clever details such as the practical storage concept in the cockpit and the optional mobile ID. Buzz Box Cargo also ensure that the vehicle delivers what you want. In addition, no animal leather is used in the vehicle interior, so the ID. Buzz Cargo combines sustainability and user comfort.

If you want to be productive, you have to be able to transport a lot. Thanks to its modern MEB platform, the new ID. Buzz Cargo offers maximum cargo space on a small footprint. For example, Euro pallets fit crosswise on the robust, non-slip load compartment floor. The combination of an impressive load volume of up to 3.9 cubic meters, a large payload of 650 kg and a maximum loading length of 2.2 metres means the ID. Buzz Cargo can handle heavy and bulky cargo. Optional lashing rails in the load compartment provide stable support during transport, for example in combination with ratchet straps. A practical option is that the fixed partition between the driver’s cab and the load compartment can have a window and a loading hatch. This increases the maximum loading length by another 45 cm.

The practical and hard-wearing cockpit in front of the occupants is specially optimised for commercial use. You can also take your team with you on the standard double front passenger seat and the clever storage concept keeps everything well organised. Gloves, delivery notes or measuring rules. Drinks bottles, coffee mugs or lunchboxes: there’s somewhere to keep almost everything, for example in the tray on the top of the dashboard or in the special mobile phone compartment. Here all the common smartphones on the market can be connected to the infotainment system via USB-C cable or inductively charged. In addition, the 12-volt socket, the additional, optional USB-C ports and 230-volt socket allow you to conveniently power other devices.

Keeping things tidy is easy with the optional ID. Buzz Box Cargo. The removable centre console is a practical feature for the optional individual seats in the cab. That’s because you can quickly and efficiently store important tools and everyday utensils in it. The futuristically designed storage box not only has space for items such as drinks and pens, but also has a spacious upper compartment for small to medium-sized laptops, folders or clipboards, for example. This means your office is always at your fingertips. Mobile and flexible, the ID. Buzz Box Cargo is a smart space solution for out on the road.

Innovative technology: connectivity and infotainment

Digital, network-connected and internet-enabled, the new ID. BuzzCargo features some of our most advanced technologies. In addition to the customisable Digital Cockpit and the large touch display of the infotainment system which you can use for controlling numerous vehicle functions, the electric van features many other innovations such as local hazard warnings thanks to V2X technology, convenient over-the-air software updates using We Connect and, as an option, the latest version of Travel Assist with mass location data.

When you sit in the driver's seat you’re surrounded by advanced technology of the highest level. Your eye is immediately drawn to the digital instruments of the 13.46 cm (5.3 inch) ID. Display behind the three-spoke steering wheel – and of course to the 25.4 cm (10-inch) touch display of the infotainment system. The digital instrument cluster can be quickly customised to your personal preferences and provides a wealth of useful information. The key information from this can also be displayed on the ID. Display.

Radio and navigation

State-of-the-art infotainment and full network connectivity

Everything at a glance: on the high-quality surface of the 25.4 cm (10-inch) free-standing colour touch display you can operate numerous functions of the new ID. Buzz such as the DAB+ radio, Climatronic or the optional navigation system. Regular over-the-air updates via We Connect keep the systems’ software up to date. And thanks to App-Connect, various smartphone apps and content such as music, audio books or news can be available on board via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Three loudspeakers provide an excellent sound experience as standard.

Multifunction steering wheel

For distraction-free operation

For keeping your hands on the wheel while driving, the optional leatherette multifunction steering wheel impresses with a high level of operating comfort and a pleasant feel. The buttons can be used to operate the DAB+ radio, the optional navigation system, your smartphone or the speed limiter, among other things. The multifunction steering wheel also lets you customise the Digital Cockpit, while the optional steering wheel heating keeps your hands nice and warm even in winter.

Voice control

Your ID. Buzz Cargo understands you. As an option, you can use voice control to conveniently control the radio, the optional navigation system, the air conditioning and other vehicle functions. Address the voice assistant with “Hello ID.” and simply say out loud what you want. The ID. Buzz Cargo takes care of the rest, and you keep your eyes on what’s most important: the road. You’ll be amazed how well the new ID. Buzz understands you. It even understands free formulations and colloquial expressions, and you no longer need to use fixed voice commands.
