With its huge glazed area which stretches beyond the full width of the roof, the optional electric panoramic tilting/sliding roof is a striking feature in itself. Not just bathing the interior with light, it offers a clear view of the sky above, and when opened lets the sunshine and fresh air in. You choose how much of this you want: the roof can be adjusted or fully opened, and when the sun is shining strong, the tinted glass and high-quality roller blind ensure that the interior remains at a comfortable temperature.

Now, from the same sound specialist, comes the BeatsAudio™ sound system, available as an option for the new Polo in the Life equipment line and higher. Six harmonised speakers supply perfect sound to each seat, with the additional subwoofer delivering ultra-deep bass. All boxes are boosted by a 300 watt 8-channel amplifier. 

Intuitive voice control gives you a means of controlling the radio, phone, and optional navigation systems in your new Polo by simply speaking to them. Voice input can help you find the right channel, the correct address book entry, or the phone number you’re searching for. And what’s more, your new Polo will understand you even better with the optional online voice control service¹ in We Connect Plus². For example, you can choose your favourite music online or enter destinations into your navigation system using this completely intuitive method.

The connectivity offers from Volkswagen give you more convenience, security and entertainment. The connection of your Polo to the internet and your smartphone brings you to your destination more relaxed - all you have to do is drive yourself.

Alongside the conventional airbags, the central airbag in the new Polo offers protection against a collision between driver and passenger. In addition, there are two curtain airbags on board, which in an emergency deploy from the headliner like curtains, covering the entire side window areas from front to back, including the B-pillar. This provides effective protection for everyone in the car, including those in the rear seats.¹

With its driving profile selection¹, the Polo is perfectly attuned to you – depending on what you find most important. Simply tap the required driving profile to automatically adapt the engine, steering, and even the gearshift (on a DSG dual clutch gearbox) for the right drive every time.

Do a lot of driving? Then a natural gas engine is the right choice for you, as it reduces consumption and has a positive impact on emissions. But that doesn’t mean any compromises when it comes to comfort in the interior, as the gas tanks are positioned under the vehicle’s floor to save space. If the fuel tank runs short of natural gas, your new Polo TGI (fuel consumption) is also equipped with a 9 l petrol tank which you can easily use to reach the next natural gas station.
