Software updates are important to keep your Volkswagen up to date – whether it’s a classic combustion vehicle or hybrid car. Here you can find information about the latest software updates and learn more about previous updates.
Execution of the software updates
Depending on the type, a number of updates are offered as Over-the-Air updates, while others have to be performed at a Volkswagen Partner. This information is provided each time there is an update.
Over-the-Air updates
Some software updates can be performed “Over-the-Air”. Due to a legal requirement, your one-time consent to the use of data is required. Thus, we are able to send the data for the Over-the-Air updates to your vehicle. Find out here how it works and which conditions need to be met.
Workshop update
You will be informed by your Volkswagen Partner if an update is carried out in the workshop. We will explain everything you need to know about the process of installing a workshop update.

Campaign OULD
For the models: T-Cross, Polo, Taigo, T-Roc Cabrio, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan ME, Touran NF, Passat B8, Passat B8 Estate
This campaign includes an update for the online connectivity unit from the previous version 0092/0200 to the latest version 0311
This update (Version 0311, Campaign OULD) provides the following improvements:- Update of network connection
- Improvement of stability and performance
Without this update, the mobile online services and emergency call service (depending on the vehicle model) will no longer work after the 2G/3G mobile networks have been deactivated!
After the update, you must log in to your vehicle again using your email address and password.
The online anti-theft alarm system will not be available during the update.Campaign OUGC
For the models: T-Cross, Polo, Taigo, T-Roc, T-Roc Cabrio, T-Roc PA, Tiguan, Tiguan ME, Touran NF, Passat B8 PA, Arteon
This campaign includes an infotainment control unit update (if available) from a previous version 0314/0320/0324/0328/0330/0332 to the latest version 0334
This update (Version 0334, Campaign OUGC) provides the following improvements for the Infotainment system:
- Navigation
- App-Connect
- Streaming and Internet Radio
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection
- Update of pre-installed system apps
Important note: Personal settings (e.g. favourite radio station) may be reset by the update.
Resetting software versions is not possible.Campaign OULC
For the models: T-Cross, Polo, Taigo, T-Roc Cabrio, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan ME, Touran NF, Passat B8, Passat B8 Estate, Arteon

- Assurance of online update capability
- Update of pre-installed system apps
Important note:
