The best way to find out how easy it is to upgrade your Volkswagen is to see for yourself. As a VW Connect primary user, you can get a free one-time trial month** for almost every Upgrade. Three contract periods are then available for almost all Upgrades.

For this purpose, a separate VW Connect / VW Connect Plus or We Connect / We Connect Plus contract must be concluded with Volkswagen AG online at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the “Volkswagen” app (available in the App Store and Google Play Store). The actual length of the free contract period depends on when you activate the digital services. From the ninetieth day after initial delivery at the latest, the free initial contract period will begin to reduce automatically. You can view the exact contract period for your specific vehicle on myVolkswagen www.myvolkswagen.net. For customers with VW Connect and VW Connect Plus: The use of mobile online services is enabled by means of an integrated Internet connection. For the use of the Wi-Fi hotspot, data plans can be purchased from the external mobile communications partner Cubic Telecom and used in the network coverage area within many European countries. The data in these plans can be used by all users and vehicle occupants. You can find information on conditions, prices and supported countries at vw.cubictelecom.com. Alternatively, you can use this service with a mobile device (e.g. smartphone) with the ability to function as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.     To obtain Upgrades, you need a Volkswagen ID user account, a valid VW Connect / We Connect contract and your primary user verification, i.e. the link between your user account and the specific vehicle. Your vehicle also needs to have the technical function, hardware and software required for the relevant Upgrade. The availability of Upgrades may also depend on the model year and production date. The upgrades available for the specific vehicle can be viewed by the primary user depending on the model in the infotainment system In-Car Shop or the Volkswagen Connect Shop at https://connect-shop.volkswagen.com. Paid-for products can be purchased in the In-Car Shop and/or the Volkswagen Connect shop with the payment methods that are currently available and can be viewed there. The availability of Upgrades functions may vary between the web shop and In-Car Shop. Your Volkswagen dealership is also happy to advise on questions regarding Upgrades and their availability. Purchased and activated Upgrades remain with the vehicle for the duration of the activation period, can be used by all drivers and cannot be transferred to other vehicles.

    The online voice assistant is currently available for the following languages: English (UK and US), German, Danish, French, Italian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish, Spanish and Czech. For these languages, depending on your vehicle’s software version, there is also a connection to the knowledge database Wikipedia and “ChatGPT” artificial intelligence. Note: ChatGPT answers may vary, contain incomplete, inaccurate or irrelevant information, and infringe upon third-party rights. Accordingly, do not rely on the answers without checking them based on other sources of information. Furthermore, make sure that the use or dissemination of the responses, e.g. on social media or online, does not infringe upon any third-party rights (particularly copyrights or data protection rights). The language you can use to interact with the voice assistant depends on the language selected in your infotainment system. This is also responsible for the voice assistant functions, which may vary depending on the set language. If you consent to the processing of your location data for the online voice assistant, or add location information to your voice request, you will also receive location-specific search results. You may give consent while connecting your vehicle with your Volkswagen ID user account, or subsequently in your Volkswagen ID user account or via the link https://www.myvolkswagen.net/start/en/onlinespeechconsent.html, which is also displayed in your vehicle infotainment system in the form of a code.
